Our Doctor

​​​​​Although direct patient care in private practice has always been Dr. Winnick’s primary focus, he has also been active in other areas of the profession. He became a Fellow and Diplomate of the American Academy of Optometry, an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, Past-President of his local optometric society and was awarded Young Optometrist of the Year from the California Optometric Association. He has also enjoyed teaching abroad, in both Russia and Poland, and serves as a clinical researcher and consultant for several ophthalmic and insurance companies

​​​​​Dr. Tom Mihok, our 2nd doctor within the practice, has been practicing optometry for over 40 YEARS! He is the previous owner of the practice, giving over ownership to Dr. Winnick in 2019. He loves working with his patients and helping them see and feel their best. Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling with his wife Karen and volunteering his time with the local Lions Club.
